As we picked up Motoko from the airport, drove home, and then brought Rick over so we could surprise him – - but, he had already guessed that Motoko was coming to celebrate his birthday with him!!

Here are two of Rick’s birthday presents (Motoko came all the way from Tokyo to give Rick his presents – and she is one of them) You can’t see the necklace very easy, but trust me – it is there.

we have finally moved the large branches of the two cherry trees, and now all we have left are the smaller branches. We will see what we can salvage for the fireplace, but the small branches will have to go to the recycle bin
